This changes your extension into a stable bridge with a live Hub side panel. Future interface updates happen on the Hub.
No ZIP extraction or PowerShell needed.
Checking the update…
Can’t find the folder?
- Open chrome://extensions in Chrome.
- Find REN Workspace or REN Data Bridge, then select Details.
- Find Loaded from. Choose that same folder here.
Choose the installed folder, not a newly downloaded update folder. The folder must contain manifest.json. Do not remove the extension.
Finish in Chrome
At chrome://extensions, click the circular Reload button on REN. Refresh open OneSite and Templates tabs, then click the REN toolbar icon.
The Hub needs its live-panel files published once. Until then, choose Installed tools in the panel. Your bridge continues working.
Backup and setup details
The updater checks the reviewed bridge files, saves a local backup, and updates the same folder. It keeps your existing bridge connection. Saved browser data and website passwords are not reset or overwritten.
Use this setup only on your REN work computer. Folder access is granted by Chrome and may need approval again.
